WWE Monday Night RAW- Nov 4, 2013

by Kieren Lucas

-From a town in South Carolina that WWE did not feel like disclosing to us.

CM Punk vs. Luke Harper

Strangely, Monday Night Raw is starting off with a match! I'm not complaining. The match starts off with both men exchanging punches, until Punk hits a suicide dive. Where is the TNA chant? A big boot by Harper is followed by a tornado DDT, neck breaker and a crossbody onto Eric Rowan on the outside by Punk. Punk attempts a springboard but Harper hits a big boot. Out of nowhere, Punk rolls Harper up to get the win. After the match the whole Wyatt family start beating down on Punk until Daniel Bryan comes out to make the save. I hope this leads to a traditional Survivor Series match with these superstars.
Winner: CM Punk
Rating: 1.5/5

Ryback vs. The Great Khali

In my opinion I couldn't think of a worse wrestling match than this, if you can call it a wrestling match. Khali starts things off with the only thing he knows and that's slaps in the corner. He also hits a clothesline and wobbles. Ryback ends the torture with a meat hook clothesline.
Winner: Ryback
Rating: 0/5

Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio starts the match off with some vicious kicks and is very angry because he lost the World Championship at Hell in a Cell. Kofi goes high risk and flips over the top rope. Del Rio hits a nice footstomp, an axe handle off the top and an enziguri, which only gets two. He then hits a German suplex for two and a tirt-a-whirl back breaker. Kofi finally gets some offense with a springboard crossbody which also gets two. Del Rio kicks him in the stomach but Kofi rolls him up for another two count. Del Rio then applies the cross arm breaker for the win.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
Rating: 2.5/5

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Big E Langston

This was voted by the WWE Universe and if you voted for Big E, which I doubt anyone did because its a rigged poll, answer this question: why? Big E starts off with a big shoulder block and counters a DDT into a back body drop over the top rope. Big E goes for a spear through the middle rope but Orton moves and Big E lands hard on the floor. Big E hits a belly to belly suplex and a splash for two. Orton hit a back breaker and a DDT. Big E comes back with a big clothesline and attempts the Big Ending but Orton counters it into a RKO.
Winner: Randy Orton
Rating: 2/5

Fandango and Summer Rae vs. Tyson Kidd and Natalya

Its great to see Tyson Kidd back in the ring and I hope he reforms his tag team with Justin Gabriel. Kidd hits a nice spin kick and a dropkick sequence. Summer Rae and Natalya get in the ring and hit a double clothesline. Kidd hits a springboard drop-kick and a hurricanrana over the top rope and Kidd applies the Sharpshooter to get the win.
Winner: Tyson Kidd and Natalya
Rating: 1/5

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust and Cody Rhodes vs. The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger, with Zeb Colter) and Damien Sandow

The faces are in control at the start of this match with Cena hitting a bulldog and Goldust hitting a drop-kick. Cesaro hits a catapult uppercut which just looks awesome. Cena plays face in peril. Swagger applies the Patriot Lock but Cena rolls out and hits a hurricanrana. Sandow wisely starts working Cena’s arm until Cena hits a powerbomb and makes the tag to Goldust and all chaos breaks loose. Cody hits the Disaster Kick and Cena hits the AA. Sandow then hits the You’re Welcome but only gets two. Cesaro then hits the Cesaro Swing. Cody hits a moonsault, Cena hits a crossbody and Goldust hits the Curtain Call for the win. Wow!
Winners: John Cena, Goldust, and Cody Rhodes
Rating: 3.25/5

Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel vs. Dolph Ziggler

In the first match back since Axel’s minor injury he's up against a former two time World Champion. Ziggler starts things off with a drop-kick and Axel does the same. Axel is in control of the match and applies a chinlock. Ziggler is on the comeback and hits a neck breaker. Axel stops Ziggler’s momentum with a clothesline to the back of the head. Ziggler hits a Rocker Dropper for a close two count and hits the Zig Zag to get the win. Hopefully, Ziggler might get an Intercontinental title match at Survivor Series.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler Rating: 1.5/5

The Usos vs. 3MB ( Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater, with Jinder Mahal)

Drew starts things off with a picture perfect drop-kick off the second rope and follows it up with a suplex. The Usos hit a super-kick and a splash off the top to get the win. The only squash of the night.
Winner: The Usos
Rating: 0.5/5

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon come to the ring and demand Big Show come to the ring. Big Show joins them and asks for his job, and Stephanie gives it to him! Suddenly, the Shield’s music hits. Business has just picked up. Big Show then goes on to say that he deserves a WWE title match at Survivor Series. Triple H gives him the match, but also orders him to wrestle The Shield and Orton right now!

4 on 1 Tornado Handicap Match:
The Shield (U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns) and WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Big Show

Reigns starts things off with a huge spear to the Big Show. All four men beat down Show until he comes back with a choke slam to Reigns. Kane’s music hits and he comes out in a suit. I couldn't stop laughing, I had to pause the show. He is in a suit and has very thin hair. Kane gives everyone a chair and they all start beating Big Show with them. The match is over. The Big Show wins by disqualification. The Shield then triple powerbomb Big Show through the announce table to close the show. Isn't it a bit strange how no one came out to help Big Show?
Winner: The Big Show
Rating: 1/5

Overall: 6.75/10
Apart from the awful Ryback vs. The Great Khali match there was nothing to complain about. There were some good, lengthy matches and the only segment of the night was a good one and we now know the main event of Survivor Series will be Big Show vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship!
